| Hi everyone! Well, I'm glad to see that our world is starting to open back up (in one sense) and kinda crazy how it's taking on another state of panic. I just want to say to some people "Be kind, show love to one another". It is a sad situation, but let's be kind. I'm sure you're also thinking how thankful we are that we have the Lord to lean on in troubled times.
I went to visit my daughter in Mills River, North Carolina over the weekend. We left to go to lunch and I left my lil' maltipoo,Berklee at their house. We got back from Hendersonville and she was gone. (She had went thru the doggy door and was small enough to slip through a fence crack) I've never really thought of myself as a dog person, until I got Berklee after Mike passed away. I was devastated. We looked everywhere. After 4 hours had passed, and many prayers to God, I was certain I'd never see her again. I just thought someone will keep her, and to tell you the truth with all the stuff going on right now, I'd lost faith in someone bringing her back. No collar. Not chipped. It was Saturday, the groomers & vets were closed until Monday. I was sitting in the car after driving everywhere, and talking to every person that was outside in their yard. I googled lost Pets Mills River and it popped up "Pet Boost"- its a facebook page I'd never heard of. I uploaded Berklee's picture with a brief description and shared. My phone dinged with a message 4 minutes later... "I found your little dog" I started crying even more. Juli said she called a friend and asked her 'what website would I go to post a found dog?" Her friend told her about Pet Boost (she had never heard of it either) Her friend said "Let me pull it up on my phone for you.... A lady just posted about a small black and white dog ONE MINUTE ago!"
This was an answered prayer, only God can make things happen perfectly. She lived in Brevard, 15 minutes away. She was driving down the country road because she was early to an appointment and Berklee ran out in the road in front of her. She never travels that way to Asheville, but Saturday her and her two daughters took a detour to end up being at the right place at the right time. (a very short distance from a 4-lane hwy) . I believe in loving, caring christian people and God puts them in our path. When we believe in him and have Faith (and even when we lose hope) he reassures us that he IS IN CONTROL. Why did I doubt? There are loving people all around us! We are surrounded by them daily. Our friends, family, neighbors. The world might be having some doubts, and we certainly are feeling saddened by events, but the majority of people are not just the few in the limelight. God continues to show me that he is always there. Believe in him, and rely on him.
