Forgiveness and Understanding

Forgiveness and Understanding

Understanding. It’s the key to unlocking good communication. It’s one of the foundations Love is built on. When we understand someone or something it can change our perspective immediately. Have you been driving down the road in a hurry to get to where you’re going when the car you in front of you starts driving so slowly you feel your tension level rising? But then you notice in front of them is another car causing the delay. You instantly forgave the driver; you understand it’s not his fault…because you can see past him to the reason.   The Holiday season can certainly be a time of fun, outings, memories and gatherings with friends and family. It can also be stressful, unmet expectations, financial woes and lack of sleep. We, as Christians, know the reason for the season and rejoice in Jesus’ birth. What a blessing it is to celebrate with others the birthday of our Christ, Lord and Savior. I pray that you will let go of any woes or expectations and just praise him this Season, letting God handle it for you.  Let’s just give everyone the courtesy of looking past them without knowing what ahead of them & forgive them. Let’s show our love of Jesus Christ and the reason for the season so that we lead others to God in times of need.

What is your family tradition? My dad used to read the story of Jesus’ birth every Christmas morning before we opened presents. I am saddened to say that I did not pass on this tradition in my home. It’s never too late to start one, a onetime event can leave an impression on someone. What was your favorite Christmas? Why? What made it so special?  Maybe this is something that everyone can share at a Holiday gathering. What was your most memorable gift growing up? How has God blessed you this year?

I have been truly blessed this year, even with a loss. I am blessed for all that God has put in my path, which you are one of them. I feel like a know some of you as friends. Your comments, support and emails have left an impression on me.  You have impacted my life through The Delilah Box.  I have seen someone’s comment, email or review just at the time of doubt, and it changes everything.  You’ve experienced it yourself, it’s god’s intervention. You might say it’s a God thing. We can get caught up in our own lives and we live in a busy, fast pace world. Everything these days is about fast food, next day delivery and text instead of phone calls.  This can make us doubt situations, question our choices or not feel as connected as we should be. The way we impact others is such a blessing! You are an awesome group of women that cheer each other on. Thank you for allowing me into that part of your circle. I appreciate you.  I pray that you have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I am looking forward to 2020!
