Doesn't everyone want to go to Heaven?

I’m laying on the bed about to receive a dose of some good sleepy time meds to put me out until my medical procedure is over. I pray to God, please be with me, protect me and comfort me through this process that has me a bit on edge. As I lay there a little longer waiting for George, my anesthesiologist to return I think… How bad would it be if I didn’t wake up? Doesn’t everyone want to go to Heaven? Mind you, I am not suicidal. My mind drifts to ‘Am I prepared to leave this earth?’ Have I completed the task God has at hand for me here on earth. Did I tell my story to the individuals that needed to hear it? Was I an influence for others to strive to see the world and Christ from a different perspective? Did I find Joy in everyday and thankful for all God has given me? Believe me, there was a time that I prayed ‘please Lord, don’t leave me here- take me too!” (when I lost my husband.) But we realize that it is not our time to go. I thoughts drift as I summoned to the state of euphoria on cloud nine ~ I picture the flowers, streets of Gold and seeing Jesus. I awoke to a lady shaking my leg and calling my name. Well, I’m back. I didn’t transport to a paradise this time.
But What if I did? The time is coming for all of us. We’ll never make it out of this world alive. Do you unequivocally know that you are going to Heaven? If someone was charging you with being a Christian, do they have enough evidence to convict you? Do live your Life so that others see Christ in you? Sometimes we wonder if someone is telling the truth, or we worry about something that might happen because we’re all a tad insecure. But let’s choose to use the phrase “If they show you who they are... Believe them”. If a person say’s one thing but their actions portray another, what is face value of that person?
I believe the world is coming to an end, someday… Just like a thief in the night. You will not know the exact time. Matthew 24:36 says “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only” . Matthew 24:27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.”
It’s been a while since I’ve heard a fire and brimstone sermon. I’m not casting all the fish into the same net, but some preachers love to tell the feel-good stories. I’m going out on a limb to say it’s not popular to preach that y’all are heading to Hades if you don’t change your ways. But honestly, you should be fighting like the third monkey trying to get on the ark to make a difference in this world. Ask God to come into your heart. If he is your co-pilot swap seats and let him be the driving force in your decisions. You might of heard the meme “Don’t cross a river for someone who won’t cross a puddle for you” Absolutely cross the river, the lake and ocean if you have to- to show them that you have Christ in your heart.
“Salvation isn’t ours until we reach out and accept it” Billy Graham. The Bible says you can know for sure that you’ll be with God after you die. Romans 10:9 says, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Salvation cannot be earned. Ephesians 2:8–9 states: “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
We want to know that we are going to Heaven if something was to happen to us. Take a moment to ask yourself “Am I going?” and If you are unsure then Ask the Lord into your heart.
